Pecan, Maple Date Cookies

Ingredients
- 3 cups whole-wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1-1/2 cups maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add pecans and dates and mix well. In a medium bowl, cream butter and brown sugar; gradually add in maple syrup, vanilla, and eggs. Combine with the flour mixture until well-blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes.
