Helen’s Pear Bread
Ingredients
- 3 pears (2 cups grated)
- 3 eggs, beaten until light and fluffy
- 1 cup oil
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2/3 cup nuts
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
Directions

Cream eggs, oil and sugar.
Add pears, lemon peel and vanilla. Mix well.
In another bowl, mix flour, salt, soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. Add nuts.
Blend egg mixture.
Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes.
