Grandmommie’s Chess Pie

Ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 to 3 C sugar
- 1 C butter, melted
- 6 eggs
- 3 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 2 tsp cornmeal
- 2 pastry crusts
Directions
Heat oven to 300°. Beat sugar and butter. Add eggs and beat well. Add vinegar, vanilla and cornmeal and mix well. Pour into pastry crusts and bake for 10 minutes. Increase heat to 350° and cook 35 minutes more. Two pies will serve 16 people. Pies may be frozen.
