Chicken Barbecue

Ingredients
- 3 lb. frying or roasting chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup tomato ketchup
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Directions
Arrange chicken in a single layer (skin side down) in a large, shallow foil-lined roasting pan. Thoroughly mix remaining ingredients (add bay leaf after mixing). Pour over chicken. Broil 6 to 8 inches from high heat for about 20 minutes, turn chicken skin side up, basting often with sauce in pan. Broil until chicken is tender.
