Buttermilk Pralines
Ingredients
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/3 stick butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2-1/2 cups pecans, chopped
Directions
Mix first four ingredients.
Stir and cook to 234 ° on a candy thermometer (soft ball stage). Add butter and vanilla.
Beat 1 minute until mixture begins to thicken.
Add pecans and mix.
Drop onto buttered wax paper and cool.
