Buttermilk Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 tbsp. Hershey's cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Sift together sugar, flour, and soda.
In a small saucepan, bring butter, cocoa, and water to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients.
Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Pour into 17″ x 11″ x ¾” cookie sheet.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
