- ⅔ C water
- ⅓ C soy sauce
- ¼ C honey
- 1 C orange juice
- 1 ⅓ C light brown sugar
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 C bourbon
- Seasoned Salt:
- 4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 6- to 8-oz salmon filet
- 2 tsp olive oil
Directions
Bourbon Sauce: Mix all ingredients and bring to simmer in medium saucepan. Reduce to half. Cool and refrigerate for up to one week. Excellent sauce for chicken, shrimp, pork, etc. Makes 10–12 servings of sauce.
Clean and lightly oil grates of char-broil grill set on medium-high heat.
Pat salmon with paper towel to dry excess moisture. Brush salmon lightly with olive oil, then add ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt per side. Sear salmon quickly on both sides to create nice grill marks, but don’t cook.
Transfer salmon to baking dish. Brush salmon with bourbon glaze and bake at 350° for approximately 8–10 minutes.
Brush salmon with additional bourbon glaze and serve with ramekin of bourbon glaze.
