Apple Cream Pie
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 2 cups finely chopped tart apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg, well-beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
Directions
Combine 3/4 cup sugar and 2 Tablespoons flour. Add sour cream, egg, vanilla, and salt. Beat until smooth. Add apples and mix thoroughly. Pour into a pastry-lined pie pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake 30 minutes more. Remove from oven.
Combine 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon, 1/3 cup flour, and butter; mix thoroughly. Sprinkle mixture over pie filling. Return to oven, bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
