Contributing Writer

Marc is a journalism graduate of Kent State University (BA, 1978) and the Ohio State University (MA, 1982) who lives in Columbia, S.C. He was a writer and editor for daily newspapers, magazines and wire services in Ohio, Michigan and South Carolina until 1998 and then spent two years as a public relations manager for a terrific zoo before taking up freelance writing and editing, primarily for economic development and electric cooperative clients.

He does the Gadgets & Gizmos column for Kentucky Living, and back home in South Carolina, follows the Gamecocks and Buckeyes across all seasons (except in the summer, when it’s all about minor league baseball in Columbia). He works a lot in coffee shops around the University of South Carolina, the real USC, where he taught media writing to little Gamecocks for more than 25 years.
