Madelynn Coldiron is a freelance copy editor who has been working with Kentucky Living since September 2013. In her full-time job, she works in the communications department of a statewide education organization. Madelynn is a journalism graduate of Northern Illinois University who has more than two decades of experience working as a reporter for media outlets in Somerset, Frankfort, and Ashland.

When not working, she loves puttering in her perennial garden and travels to the Rocky Mountain states whenever she can. Raised in a blue-collar Chicago suburb, Madelynn will be able to die happy now that the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series in her lifetime.
