Erica Rucker is an award-winning professional freelance writer, editor and photographer. She also teaches writing at Indiana University Southeast. Her writing work spans the disciplines of manufacturing, medical, tech, education and creative fields. As a photographer, her work has been published both locally and nationally. In addition to Kentucky Living, her writing has appeared in This Old House Magazine, LEO Weekly, Louisville Distilled, Insider Louisville and Norton Healthcare’s Get Healthy magazine.

When she isn’t writing, she can be found photographing insects in her garden, taking a nap or spending time with her husband, Rob, and their young son.
