Hopkinsville Eclipse coordinators announce opening of third location
Hopkinsville – The City of Hopkinsville has officially sold out of the 400 spots available at its second viewing location at Ruff Park, located at 733 North Drive. With this recent development, officials announced that the next viewing location to open will be Tie Breaker Park, which will accommodate 400-500 reservations.
These locations were preceded in fulfillment by the 100 spots available at DeBow Park. Spots at DeBow and Ruff Park will be 15’ x 15’ in size and will be assigned to reservation holders in a chronological method. Conversely, the spots at Tie Breaker Park will be available on a first-come first-serve method with approximately 100 reservations sold per field.
Each city designated viewing location will have access to portable restroom facilities, food vendors and an unobstructed view of the sky for $30. Additionally, each reservation will receive one parking pass for the lot adjacent to their viewing location.
The city of Hopkinsville will be announcing the next viewing location upon fulfillment of Tie Breaker Park. All Viewing locations will open at 6:00 a.m. CT on Monday, August 21st and will be staffed with first aid stations, law enforcement and city representatives.
