Louisville Zoo celebrates baby elephant’s first birthday

Fitz, the African elephant baby at the Louisville Zoo, is one year-old. Louisville’s biggest baby celebrated with a watermelon and banana cake as the zoo kicked off a whole week of celebration. The calf was born Aug. 2, 2019 weighing 275 pounds with a height of 38.5 inches. He’s now grown to 790 pounds and 49 inches.
