Former Kentucky Gov. John Y. Brown dies at 88

We join all of the Commonwealth expressing our condolences to the family of former Kentucky Governor John Y. Brown Jr.

The 55th Governor of the commonwealth has died at the age of 88.

In gratitude for his service to Kentucky and to his leadership in business, elected office and philanthropy.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 29, at the Kentucky Capitol rotunda where Brown will lie in state. His service will be 3 p.m. at the state Capitol building the following day.
