Rev up to 30

A party is heading toward Bowling Green later this month for the 30th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum.

Corvette enthusiasts from across the country will assemble regional caravans and join together on their way to the three-day celebration, August 29–31.

“The Corvette Caravan is often referred to as the world’s largest moving automotive event and hosted only once every five years,” says Mariah Hughes, media relations and marketing production manager for the museum. The photo above is from the 25th anniversary caravan celebration.

“While the event itself does not have a cap for attendance, there are special ticket events that are limited,” Hughes says. This includes the Corvette Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, a Corvette Racing Dinner, Casino Night and more.

The celebration includes:

  • Tackling the track with Corvette E-Ray and Stingray touring laps, available at the NCM Motorsports Park.
  • An engine build demonstration from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant Performance Build Center team.
  • National Corvette Museum Collections staff-presented Artifact Pit Stops, including details about the Corvettes buried in the infamous sinkhole.
  • Presentations on technology, performance and safety from the Corvette brand team, Mobil 1, Michelin, ESCORT Radar Detectors and more.

The museum is open daily, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hours change seasonally).
