Heat Pump Retrofit
A minimum of $500 rebate for replacement of electric resistance furnace and/or central AC with high-efficiency air-source heat pump.
Button-Up Weatherization
For homes older than two years with electricity for primary heat source; rebates are available per 1,000 BTU reductions after weatherization and insulation upgrades.
Electric Thermal Storage (ETS)
We can help in your purchase of one of these units by offering a 40% discount on electricity used by the ETS heater.
HVAC Duct Sealing
Cumberland Valley Electric pays $250 for a contractor to come into your home to increase your energy efficiency by sealing your ductwork and eliminating leakage. Customers are required to pay a small fee to the contractor for this work.
Touchstone New Construction (Heat Pump & Geothermal)
When building your new home, the more steps you take for energy efficiency now, the better off your family will be for years to come. This new construction program has different specific performance paths that, once achieved, will lead you to rebates and lower electric bills. Appliance Recycling
When you arrange to have those old refrigerators and freezers taken off for recycling, we will rebate you $50 per working unit. It is as simple as calling (844) HAUL4 ME for free pickup. Call for full details for qualifying.

When you buy a new ENERGY STAR-rated appliance you are saving energy. We thank you for that and will pay you a rebate when you apply and document your appliance’s energy efficiency with rebates as follows:

ENERGY STAR Manufactured Home Program
If you’re thinking of purchasing a new manufactured home, be sure to request the ENERGY STAR Manufactured Home Program to your salesperson. You may be eligible for an ENERGY STAR-certified upgrade at no additional cost. In most cases, manufactured homes installed in our co-op service territory may be upgraded to ENERGY STAR standards through this energy-efficiency program. Right now, that’s an average savings of about $1,100 each year or about $90 a month on your electric bill.
