FARM FRESH RECIPE CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION.
By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Violation of these rules may result in disqualification. All decisions of the judges regarding this contest are final and binding in all respects.
HOW TO ENTER: Online entries only at KentuckyLiving.com, at http://www.kentuckyliving.com/contests
SUBMISSION DATES: July 1-July 31, 2019; deadline by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Saving Time, July 31, 2019.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to persons age 18 or over in the continental United States, except for employees or immediate family members of Kentucky Living, Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives (dba Kentucky Electric Cooperatives), Kentucky’s electric co-ops and Kentucky Proud and their respective divisions, subsidiaries, advertising, and promotion agencies.
LIMIT: One entry per person, per category.
CATEGORIES: Appetizers, Sides, Desserts. Recipe must fit the category.
INGREDIENTS: Recipe must use one minimum Kentucky Proud farm-sourced product in the recipe ingredients, which must be integral to the dish, not used as a garnish. Use of additional Kentucky Proud products will be scored higher.
WINNER SELECTION: All entries will be reviewed and judged no later than September 15, 2019, by a panel of Kentucky chef judges. One winner per category will be chosen.
All entries will be prescreened to make sure they meet the contest criteria. Top recipes will be scored by Kentucky Proud chefs. Recipes will be scored based on the following: quality (33%), originality (33%), and use of Kentucky Proud products (34%). One additional point will be given for each Kentucky Proud product (also integral to the dish and not used as a garnish) above the minimum requirement of one Kentucky Proud farm product. The entry with highest overall score in each category will be declared the potential winner (ties will be broken by the judges based on quality of the recipe).
NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Any potential winner will be notified by mail, email and/or telephone. If a potential winner cannot be contacted; does not respond within 5 days from the date first contacted, refuses the prize; and/or prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable; potential winner forfeits all rights to the prize, and an alternate potential winner will be selected. Person who meets criteria will be declared the “winner” of the Farm Fresh Recipe Contest.
PUBLICATION: Recipes and winners’ names will be announced in October 2019 on social media. Recipes and winners will publish in the December 2019 issue of Kentucky Living, on KentuckyLiving.com, and its social channels.
PRIZES/DISCLAIMER: Prizes subject to change and may be subject to U.S. taxes; a Form 1099 will be issued the following year, where applicable. Approximate retail value of $150. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, misdirected, or delayed.
PRIZES AWARDED: Prizes will be awarded no later than December 31, 2019.
SPONSORSHIP: The Farm Fresh Recipe Contest is a partnership between Kentucky Living magazine and Kentucky Proud. Kentucky Proud is a sponsor of the contest by awarding prizes.
DEADLINE: Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Saving Time, July 31, 2019.

OTHER CONDITIONS: In the event that the Farm Fresh Recipe Contest is impaired in any way (i.e., operation, security or administration), Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives/Kentucky Living may suspend the Farm Fresh Recipe Contest, resume the Farm Fresh Recipe Contest, or elect to award prizes from the eligible entries received at the time the contest was suspended.
