Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar—inviting, fun and approachable
“The modern aesthetic of Bottle & Bond, sitting in the middle of a cornfield, is very unexpected for what you’re typically going to find in most distilleries,” says John Castro, executive director of culinary operations for Bardstown Bourbon Company.
Bottle & Bond’s Southern comfort food favorites include fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and brisket and burgers that feature farm fresh meats and cheeses, along with craft cocktails with a seasonal flair. “The goal is no pretense, accessible and familiar flavors,” says Castro.
With a staff of about 56, Castro is extremely proud of the restaurant’s J-1 culinary visa program that trains international students—16 from six countries this year.
Located at 1500 Parkway Drive, Bardstown, and served by Salt River Electric, Bottle & Bond is open for lunch and dinner, 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m. Thursday–Saturday. Reservations suggested.
