Praying for you and our country
God bless America
After a very rough year personally in 2019 with the death of both of my parents followed by a broken ankle, surgery and nearly a year of recovery, I was excited for 2020 to arrive.
My daughter was graduating from college, I was finishing physical therapy and was hoping life would return to normal. I could not have been more wrong.
From the outbreak of a global pandemic to the nation’s civil unrest, our country’s pain is real and I pray that our world can heal. I don’t have the answers, but I hope everyone continues to stay safe and one day the sun will come out again. I rely on my faith and I am praying for each of you and our country.
This photo taken by Nolin RECC consumer-member Shawn Dunaway, of our nation’s flag on the side of a weather-beaten Kentucky barn caught my eye. It’s one of 1,839 submissions for the Kentucky Living 2020 Photo Contest.
I share it with the hope of a brighter future and a belief in the values that guide your electric cooperative. The sun still shines above the storm.
