Gratitude and service
Helping others is the co-op way
The commitment to service by Kentucky’s electric cooperatives is a source of tremendous gratitude for me.
The selfless response of our co-op linemen who joined crews from 14 other states to help restore power in Georgia after Hurricane Irma affirms our cooperative model. We are here for each other, and we are so much greater than the sum of our parts.
I am thankful for the service of co-op employees at every step of the process to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to you. From engineers to customer service representatives, co-ops understand and embrace our unique relationship with co-op member-owners. You are more than a customer. We are all in this together.
In the pages of Kentucky Living, we celebrate this unique partnership with information about your local co-op, ways to improve your energy experience, and a celebration of our great commonwealth, including ways Kentucky is working to improve.
Which reminds me of the conscience of our local co-ops, the men and women who serve on the boards of directors. A heartfelt thank you to the 255 people who are democratically elected to make decisions about Kentucky’s local co-ops and represent you and your concerns.
Wherever we bow our heads this Thanksgiving, may our gratitude to God be joined by our thankfulness for each other.
