MB Roland
MB Roland, Pembroke
Go to the western part of the state, and you’ll find a former Amish farm-turned- Kentucky craft distillery. Founded in 2009 by Iraq war veteran Paul Tomaszewski, MB Roland exploded onto the scene as a must-see bourbon destination. It has the look and feel of an early farmer distillery. All that’s missing are cattle and pigs.
Closer to Nashville than Louisville or Lexington, MB Roland hosts popular musicians for a shindig called “Pickin’ on the Porch.” Occasionally, the business cooks a whole pig, and it’s just little slice of heaven—with barbecue sauce and bourbon.
