The 2006 Festival of Trees and Lights, benefiting Kosair Children’s Hospital, returns November 17-19 at Louisville Slugger Field.
Festival of Trees & Lights
The winter wonderland includes 300 artistically decorated trees for viewing and purchasing, along with wreaths, ornaments, stockings, and garlands. Other highlights include a children’s activity area, model trains, Sweet Shop, Gift Shop, roving entertainers, and cultural traditions of faith with special music, exhibits, and activities. General admission is $3 for adults and children. Children’s activities are November 18-19. There is also a small fee for each children’s activity.
Activities include:
- Friday, November 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tree Preview Day and shopping. (No children’s activities on Friday.)
- Saturday, November 18, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Community Day, shopping, and children’s activities.
- Sunday, November 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Scout Day: Scouts in uniform receive a special event patch with paid admission. Children’s activities continue.
Also, enter to win a new BMW or $40,000. Only 2,006 tickets will be sold at $100 each. The drawing is November 19 at the festival. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone number below.
This volunteer-driven holiday event expects to raise more than $300,000 for the Kosair Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which provides care to infants from nearly every county in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
