The 15th annual Duncan Hines Festival comes to Bowling Green on July 8 and August 12. Events include a night at the ballpark, a concert in the park, art exhibit, the Adventures in Good Baking Contest, and Uncle Duncan’s Duck Derby. Bring a Pet Weekend
Green River Lake State Park in Campbellsville will sponsor Bring a Pet Weekend on July 22-24, with a dog fashion show contest July 23 at the park shelter. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place. Entry fee is $5 for each dog. For details, call the park at (270) 465-8255.
Master Musicians in Somerset
The Master Musicians Festival returns to Somerset on July 15-16 with a weekend of great music, food, and arts and crafts. Steve Earle and the Dukes featuring Allison Moorer will headline the event on the campus of Somerset Community College. Other top performers include Chris Knight and Guy Clark. Follow the adventures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and Toto in Stephen Foster Productions’ presentation of The Wizard of Oz.
