Danville’s Great American Band Festival, Cumberland Grand Prix

Great American Brass Band Festival

Dazzling Daylilies
The Western Kentucky Botanical Garden in Owensboro will be in full bloom June 18-26 with Dazzling Daylilies weeklong festival. The daylily garden will be the site of an opening gala, Father’s Day brunch, exercise programs, and an art exhibit. Grand Prix Powerboats
Somerset hosts the Lake Cumberland Grand Prix powerboat racing June 4-6 at the Waitsboro Recreation Area. View the Parade of Boats on U.S. 27, Friday, June 4, at 6 p.m., and a free concert at 7p.m. by Devon Allman, son of Allman Brothers Band founder Gregg Allman, at Race Village, The Center for Rural Development. Qualifying heats begin at 11 a.m. Saturday; the Grand Prix race is noon Sunday. Moonbow Nights
Come to Corbin on Saturday, June 26, for the next Moonbow Nights event. Downtown merchants will be open late, and there will be an outdoor antique and arts market, live music, and demonstrations. The event coincides with the June appearance of the moonbow at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. During a full moon, a moonbow is visible over the waterfalls, a phenomenon not found anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere.
