25 Years Of Kentucky Crafted: The Market
What better way to beat the winter blues than to attend Kentucky Crafted: The Market on Saturday and Sunday, March 4 and 5 at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center, Louisville.
Nearly 300 exhibitors of Kentucky’s finest traditional, folk, and contemporary crafts, two-dimensional visual art, musical recordings, books, and food products will participate, along with guest artists from neighboring states.
Kentucky cultural entertainment and children’s craft activities (ages 4-12) will also be included. The Designer Showcase area will feature products for every room in your house plus your garden and the One-of-a-Kind Gallery Section will return for 2006.
Kentucky Crafted: The Market, celebrating its 25th year, generates $2 to $3 million in direct sales. The craft industry in Kentucky contributes $252 million to the state’s economy and has an impact of an additional $147 million from out-of-state sales.
The Market is open to the public on Saturday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. On Friday, March 3, The Market is open to wholesalers only from 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
