The festival is a celebration of the Appalachian culture. Mushroom theme activities include a morel market, cook-off, cake decorating contest, interviews with hunters, mushroom cooking demonstrations, contest for largest and most mushrooms, fungus 5K/2K, parade, window decorating contest, and sale of festival t-shirts. Agate activities include KY agate hunts and Gem, Mineral, and Rock Show. Arts and crafts are promoted through vendor booths, demonstrations, and student art show. The local heritage is highlighted through the Historical Society museum. Entertainment on the grandstand will include live performances, cloggers, school jump rope team, and local gymnastic team. Other activities will include a pancake breakfast, car show, bike show, antique gas engine & tractor show, inflatables, kid’s zone, Shriners train, and food court.
